Hi, I’m Lauren!

I specialize in reducing pain and releasing deep physical tension so you can keep doing exactly what you love. As a Sports Therapy student, my approach is completely rooted in evidence-based techniques.

In addition to my work here at the Body Unity clinic, I also manage injury care and pitch-side first aid for the Women’s Team at Old Albanians Rugby Club in St Albans. Dealing with high-impact sports injuries on the field has given me a fantastic perspective on how the human body handles acute stress—and exactly what it takes to bounce back safely.

My Approach: Relieving Tension, Enhancing Mobility

Whether you are a competitive athlete recovering from an intense match, or someone dealing with the chronic, nagging back and shoulder stiffness that comes with a hectic desk job, I treat every client as an individual.

I use a range of clinical and therapeutic techniques depending on what your body needs on the day, including:

  • Deep Tissue Massage: Slow, firm strokes designed to target the deep layers of muscle and connective tissue to relieve long-standing aches and pain.

  • Sports Massage & Soft Tissue Release: Focused on improving your overall range of motion, reducing muscle inflammation, and preventing future injuries.

  • Hot Stone Massage: Combining targeted heat with manual therapy to deeply relax the nervous system and melt away stubborn muscular tension.

What It’s Like in a Session With Me

I am an absolute advocate for patient-centred care. Walking into a treatment room should never feel intimidating. My priority is to create a friendly, relaxing, and welcoming space where you feel genuinely listened to.

Before we start, we’ll talk through what’s going on with your body and map out a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. During the session, I like to explain how different muscle groups interact so you can better understand your own body.

You’ll leave the clinic not only feeling lighter, less tense, and more mobile, but also equipped with practical aftercare advice and movement guidance to help you maintain that great feeling long after the session ends.
